iDashes partners to develop EconDash™

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK (January 11, 2001) In a move to develop a concise, useful package of information on key economic indicators, iDashes, Inc. (www.iDashes.net) will utilize the power of the Internet and partnerships with Economy.com and Dr. Alan Stockman, of the University of Rochester, to develop and promote EconDash™.

EconDash™ will make it possible to review economic performance at-a-glance, online; to drilldown, to learn more or trend line the information that's most useful to executives and managers. It will use the same graphic concepts featured in iDashes' exclusive ExecDash™ and ProjectDash™ products. With EconDash™, executives and managers can make immediate sense of the overwhelming amount of data they need to know and understand, about the economic environment around them.

Economy.com will provide time series data for the unique EconDash™ graphics. Cobranded pages linked between each website will include economic analysis, economic calendar, and key indicator definitions.

Dr. Alan Stockman, former head of the Economics Department at the University of Rochester, will be the key economic consultant to EconDash™ and will help develop high level macroeconomic commentary. In addition, Dr. Stockman will be the economic expert behind iDashes' Econ 101 tutorials for accessible, economic education lessons managers and executives can really use to understand basic macroeconomic concepts.

Dr. Stockman is the author of Introduction to Economics and has had numerous articles published in trade journals such as: American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Theory, and Journal of International Economics.
