Real Estate

Real Estate performance, while having financial measures, can be viewed more effectively by using the non financial measures as the leading indicator of performance. In the case below, the Total Income is being effected by the poor performance of Occupancy and Vacancy Rates, since Operating Costs and per Unit costs are performing well. Perhaps the actionable measure here is the Waiting List, which because it is not a long one. Vacancies are not filled quick enough. Since the Turnover rate is very low, it may be possible to leverage the satisfied existing clients as references to help find others who are looking to rent. This is a conclusion that would be VERY hard to presume if these measures were not PLANNED and MEASURED and VISIBLE all at the same time.
