Manufacturing organizations have a variety of metrics that would be useful. Internal measurement of a job shop or operation would justify setting up a dashboard. Perhaps when your staff punches in for work that would remind them of key indicators that would motivate them properly. They might include: the number of days since an accident, thru-put of the operation, quality of the goods produced, line productivity, etc. In the general corporate environment, the dashboard presented reflects that employees or customers are not as satisfied as plan. Sales volume is mediocre and there is too much inventory. An action to reduce inventory through promotions or sales will increase Sales Volume (our profit will allow us to do this within our planned margin), This will make customers happier since they get a price or delivery break. HR needs to investigate how to address various issues with employees, since a positive employee environment is the objective.
