Level Agreements
Service Level Agreements are a fascinating topic for performance dashboards, because they can be approach from different view points. The dashboard can be an internal mechanism to measure how an area is performing against an agreed upon measures or how others are performing on companies behalf. A similar analogy can be set up externally with vendor or buyer perspectives, thus establishing baselines for negotiating future agreements, payment terms of existing agreements, compliance of agreements, or even for regulatory reporting. One unique use could be marketing a companies services. By offering to provide a visible measurement of a companies performance to a client it also displays confidence in the ability to deliver. Another possibility is to use a dashboard as a tool to expand into a particular market or organization displaying the companies advantage and out performing expectations the client and the competition.
